Candidates for the 2011-2012 VCA Officers
** VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE **

   

DONALD R. GUILLORY

A native of Louisiana, Don Guillory earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and began an extensive career in his home state as a Probation and Parole Agent.  Continuing with his education, Don later earned a master’s degree and held additional positions in Louisiana’s Department of Corrections Internal Affairs Division and later as an Assistant Warden.  In 1979, he was appointed Warden of the Wade Correctional Center, where he served until 1987 when he accepted a position in the private sector. 

In 1989, Mr. Guillory relocated to Virginia and joined the state’s Department of Corrections as Superintendent of Unit # 3 and later transferring to the Southampton Correctional Center.  He then served as Warden of the Powhatan Correctional Center until 1997 when he was selected to lead Virginia Correctional Enterprises as their Chief Executive Officer. 

Currently, Don is an active member of ACA, Chair of the ACA – Correctional Industries Committee, President and Chairman of the Board of National Correctional Industries Association, a member American Jails Association and VCA.
