A. WARE
Mrs. Ware joined the Virginia Department of Corrections in
1996 and has served in several capacities including Food
Service Worker A and Office Services Assistant at the
Academy for Staff Development, Office Secretary Senior at
the Academy for Staff Development and the Virginia
Correctional Center for Women, Executive Secretary to the
Warden at Fluvanna and Powhatan Correctional Center,
Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Director, Human
Resources, and presently the Operations Officer at Deep
Meadow Correctional Center.
She received a Bachelor's of Science
Degree in the Administration of Criminal Justice in December
2006 from the Mountain State University, Beckley, West
Virginia, and is presently working on her Masters in Human
Resource Management at Capella University.
Mrs. Ware has been a member of the Virginia
Correctional Association for 7 years, working with the
registration committee, and is an active member of the
National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice.
Mrs. Ware is an ordained minister and the
adult Sunday school teacher at the Second Union Baptist
Church, Goochland. She is married and has two daughters,
one who is serving in the United States Air Force; the
youngest who is attending Ferrum College with Forensic
Science as her major and “Nana” to two grandsons, Zion James
and Simien Lebron. |
