Ben Wright
Ben Wright began his career
with the Virginia Department of Corrections in 1998 as a
Store Clerk at Mecklenburg Correctional Center. Since that
time, Mr. Wright has held the positions of Counselor,
Treatment Program Supervisor, Statewide Program Manager,
Unit Manager, and Assistant Warden. Recently, Mr. Wright
was appointed Warden Senior at Greensville Correctional
Center.
Mr. Wright has been a member of the ACA / VCA since 2000.
He has also been involved in numerous projects and duties to
include implementation of the Visitor Tracking Program,
member of the VaCORIS Functional Oversight Committee, member
and Chairperson for the Publication Review Committee,
facilitator for Human Capital, adjunct instructor for the
Academy for Staff Development, and mentor for the Corridors
Program.
Mr. Wright received his Associates Degree in Business
Management from Southside Virginia Community College in
1995. At Longwood University, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree
in Psychology in 1997 and a Master’s Degree in Criminal
Justice in 2007. Mr. Wright also received a Certificate in
Public Administration at Longwood University in 2007. |
