Hinkle
Mr. Hinkle has 32 years’
experience with the Virginia Department of Corrections. He
began his corrections career in 1977 as a Corrections
Officer at the Virginia State Penitentiary (VSP), where he
was promoted to Counselor in 1978.
In 1980, Mr. Hinkle was
employed as Counselor at Caroline Correctional Unit #2.
In 1986, he was promoted to
Treatment Program Supervisor at the Virginia State
Penitentiary.
In 1987, Mr. Hinkle was
promoted to Assistant Warden of Programs at Mecklenburg
Correctional Center. In 1988 he assumed the position of
Assistant Warden of Operations at Mecklenburg.
In 1993, Mr. Hinkle was named
the first Warden of Haynesville Correctional Center.
In 2001, he became the Warden
of Augusta Correctional Center.
In February, 2003, Mr. Hinkle
was promoted to Chief Warden at Greensville Correctional
Center, where he is currently employed.
Mr. Hinkle received a B.S. in
“Law Enforcement and Corrections” from Penn State University
in 1977.
Mr. Hinkle is married, has two
children, and two granddaughters. |
