Kathy M.
Brame
Kathy M. Brame has had the privilege of working for the
Commonwealth of Virginia for the past 26 years. Born and
raised in Virginia, Kathy believed it was her destiny to be
a government employee; her father retired from the federal
government after 40 years of dedicated service. She has a
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Masters’ in
Administration. Kathy is married with one daughter of whom
she is exceptional proud; a daughter who is carrying on the
government service legacy as she is an RN for the federal
government.
Kathy’s
state career began at the Department of Accounts; she moved
after a few years to the VA Department of Corrections where
she has spent the last 21 years of her career. She was the
Assistant Training Manager of their Academy for 11 years
before moving to an Human Resource Manager’s position and
then back to the Academy as the Training Manager.
During her tenure with the Academy, they received
accreditation from the American Correctional Association and
two outstanding achievement awards from the International
Association of Correctional Training Personnel. She serves
on the Committee on Training for Department of Criminal
Justice Services and is a member of the Virginia
Correctional Association, the American Correctional
Association and the International Association of
Correctional Training Personnel. |
